One Integrated Workflow

Find the problem, understand the customer, create value, take it to market, test and learn, repeat. The whole day follows one workflow, with AI woven through every step. Humans + AI = Augmented Collaboration.

01

Find the Problem

Start with the right Customer Problem, not with an idea.

02

Understand the Customer

Map the workflow the problem actually lives inside.

03

Create Value

Design a Value Proposition and the Business Model around it.

04

Take It to Market

Turn the proposition into a Go-to-Market hypothesis.

05

Test and Learn

Convert assumptions into experiments and evidence.

06

Repeat

Run the loop and decide with evidence, not opinions.

What Happens, and When

Timings are indicative. The facilitator adapts the rhythm to the room and to the challenge in front of it.

09:00 – 09:30 1.Reframe: Why Augmented Collaboration?

Why traditional ways of working are no longer sufficient. AI has increased the speed of producing ideas, analysis and content, but more output is not automatically more progress. Teams still operate in silos, revisit decisions, and spend more time discussing than learning.

Activity: Collaboration Friction Map

  • Where do we lose time?
  • Where do decisions get stuck?
  • Where do teams work in silos?
  • Where do handovers slow us down?
  • Where are assumptions hidden?
  • Where could AI augment the team?
Outcome Collaboration Friction Map: a shared view of Today, Friction, Opportunity
09:30 – 10:15 2.The New Operating System

Humans bring creativity, empathy, context, judgement, relationships and decision-making. AI brings speed, scale, synthesis, pattern recognition, alternatives and challenge. The opportunity is not Human OR AI. It is Human + AI working as one collaborative system.

Activity: Human vs AI vs Human + AI

  • Round 1: solve the challenge human only
  • Round 2: solve it AI only
  • Round 3: solve it Human + AI
  • Compare speed and quality
  • Compare creativity and insight
  • Compare blind spots and decision quality
Outcome Human + AI Collaboration Principles: your own rules for working together
10:15 – 10:30 Break
10:30 – 11:30 3.Find the Right Customer Problem

Do not start with an idea. Start with the right problem. Teams take a real customer or business challenge through the Customer Problem template: Customer, Context, Job, Struggle, Need, Problem. Then AI becomes the Problem Challenger.

Activity: Customer Problem Sprint

  • Who experiences the problem?
  • What are they trying to accomplish?
  • When does the problem occur?
  • What do they do today?
  • What are the pains?
  • What outcome do they want?
  • What evidence do we actually have?
  • What are we merely assuming?
Outcome One prioritised Customer Problem, with evidence and assumptions made explicit
11:30 – 12:15 4.Understand the Customer Workflow

A Customer Problem never exists in isolation. It sits inside a workflow. Teams map the customer journey end to end: Trigger, Discover, Explore, Decide, Buy, Use, Get Value, Repeat.

Activity: Customer Workflow Mapping

  • Customer job at each stage
  • Actions and the people involved
  • Information needed to move forward
  • Pain and friction points
  • Existing alternatives
  • Unmet needs
  • Where could we create disproportionate value?
Outcome Customer Workflow Map plus 3 to 5 Value Opportunity Areas
12:15 – 12:30 Morning Synthesis

Each team presents in one minute: our Customer, our Problem, our Workflow, our biggest Opportunity. A clean handover into the afternoon.

Outcome A shared picture across every team in the room
12:30 – 13:15 Lunch
13:15 – 14:45 5.Create Value: The Value Creation Workflow

The hero module of the day. Rather than designing a Value Proposition in isolation, teams move through the entire value creation system: Customer Problem, Customer Workflow, Value Opportunity, Value Proposition, Business Model, Go-to-Market.

Four steps

  • Select the Value Opportunity with the strongest mix of customer value, strategic relevance and testability
  • Design the Value Proposition using jobs, pains and gains against products, pain relievers and gain creators
  • Put AI to work as Value Proposition Challenger: why would the customer not buy this?
  • Connect it to the Business Model: channels, activities, partners, resources, revenue, costs
  • Design the Go-to-Market: target customer, route to market, acquisition, conversion, activation, growth, economics
Outcome Value Creation Blueprint: the central artefact of the whole day
14:45 – 15:00 Break
15:00 – 16:00 6.Experiment: Turn Assumptions into Evidence

Do not debate uncertainty. Design experiments that reduce it. Teams put the entire Value Creation Blueprint under pressure and find the assumptions that would break it.

Activity: Assumption to Experiment

  • What do we believe?
  • How important is it?
  • What evidence do we need?
  • What is the fastest experiment?
  • Customer has the problem, so run customer interviews
  • Customer will pay, so run a pricing experiment
  • Channel works, so run an acquisition test
  • Customer gets value, so run a prototype or MVP test
Outcome Experiment Backlog: your 3 to 5 highest-value experiments
16:00 – 16:30 7.Run the Augmented Innovation Loop

Connect everything: Customer Problem, Value Proposition, Experiment, Evidence, Learning, Decision, next experiment. The shift is from meetings to experiments, opinions to evidence, handoffs to collaboration, and AI as a tool to AI as a collaborator.

Activity: Innovation Loop Simulation

  • Teams receive new evidence from an experiment
  • They decide: persevere, pivot or kill
  • AI is used to challenge the decision
  • Humans stay responsible for the judgement
Outcome Team Innovation Loop: how your team will work from here
16:30 – 17:00 8.Install: From Workshop to Practice

The day finishes with implementation rather than a generic reflection.

Activity: 30-60-90 Day Plan

  • 30 days, START: what will we do differently immediately?
  • 60 days, SCALE: where will we apply the approach again?
  • 90 days, INSTALL: how does this become our normal way of working?
  • First use case, team and owner
  • First experiment and AI workflow
  • Success metric and next review date
Outcome 90-Day Installation Plan with owners, metrics and a review date
